About The American Package Design Awards.
The newest of GD:USA’s competitions puts the spotlight on increasingly critical elements — packaging and in-store graphics — that make the difference in how, when and where consumers make the purchasing decision. The competition arises from the backdrop of a cluttered and competitive communications environment in which manufacturers, marketers and retailers are challenged as never before to convey their message, to differentiate themselves and their products.

The American Package Design Awards Annual, which is be read by more than 100,000 creative service firms, in-house departments and marketing professionals, is scheduled to be published in March 2008 .

Published for over 40 years, Graphic Design: USA has sponsored the American Graphic Design Awards for over 30 years. The American Package Design Awards recognizes that, in this era, great package, P.O. P. and in-store graphics are increasingly the “difference makers” in consumer perception and behavior, and in successful outcomes for manufacturers and retailers.
